Bob
Needs You
|
|
|
You
are needed to save a life. Bob's life or even someone in the
same situation. We are having a local drive to save Bob
which is part of a nationwide FREE drive that is
on May 12th 13th and 14th, 2006. These drives usually costs about $50-$90 a
person to test but it's free to our families and you for these days only.
Bob's drive is on May 13th only. This is an
opportunity of a lifetime to save so many lives with no cost for
testing. |

What
Bob Needs
|
|
|
Bob
needs a bone marrow transplant. For
you, it's pretty easy. You simply swab the inside of
your cheek with Q-Tips and then the swabs are tested to see if you are a
match. If you are a match, then Bob needs you to donate a little
of your bone marrow. It sounds complicated and for Bob and
people in the same situation it is. But for
you, it's easier than you may think. (You'll
know in six weeks if you can donate) |

Bone
Marrow Donation Simplified |
|
|
There
are three ways for you to donate your bone marrow. The first two
ways are similar to donating blood
except your bone marrow is donated instead of blood. The third
way is extraction which is like getting a shot in reverse. This
is the general idea of the three ways. There is certainly more
to each process which you can read about in ways
to donate bone marrow.
Before you read the ways to donate, read the note below.
Note: There
is a new donation option like the PBSC (as mention in the above
link) that does not require Filgrastim injections. It is new,
just like the swabbing of the mouth replaced blood tests. It's
cutting edge health technology.
